The Office of Research Communications disseminates news and information about research, scholarship and creative activity by Ohio University faculty, staff and students. The office, which reports to the Vice President for Research, is located on the Athens campus at 114 Research and Technology Center (RTEC).

The office distributes news independently and also works in conjunction with other communications offices on campus, including Communications and Marketing and public information officers affiliated with many of the university’s academic colleges and regional campuses.
The office is a member of several professional organizations, including the University Research Magazine Association, the National Association of Science Writers and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
